Skittles

 chromatography is a technique for the separation of a mixture by passing it in a liquid

aim to separate colours from the skittles by using  chromatography

materials                                                     

1.5 skittles

2.25 ml water                                           

3. Petri dish

4.Beacker

Process

step 1 get your equipment set  up ready to pour the 25 ml of water into the petri dish  with the skittles.

step 2 place the skittles into the petri dish around the edges

step 3 pour 50 ml water gently into the petri dish

step 4 watch as the water removes the dye from the skittles.See which colour reaches the middle first

step 5 take two photos of the experament then upload
